Biography
Annette Dawson Owens serves as a member of the Nevada State Board of Education, having been appointed by the governor in 2025. She succeeded Margaret Carlton in this nonpartisan role, which oversees statewide education policy and academic standards.
An education advocate by profession, Owens holds a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and completed graduate studies at both Sierra Nevada University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
