Biography

Pamela Goynes-Brown serves as the Mayor of North Las Vegas, Nevada, a position she has held since 2022. She succeeded John J. Lee, who previously held the office on a nonpartisan basis. As the city's chief executive, she oversees the municipal government of North Las Vegas, the fourth-largest city in the state.

Prior to her mayoral tenure, Goynes-Brown served on the North Las Vegas City Council representing Ward 2 from 2011 to 2022. A career educator by profession, she holds a Bachelor's degree from Prairie View A&M University and a graduate degree from Nova Southeastern University. She has no recorded military service.
